its just the character eminem plays @Michael Myers
i always thought about him the rapper as a character with the idgaf attitude , thats why we will never see a lot of mature content from him , cuz basically thats not what he portrayed his charactergdot, Dudley, Caine and 1 other person like this. -

Very dope verse, just pretty short; but pleasing to listen to and great writing as usual.
Also like the little musical asides like when he plays with 'stabbed you in it, stabbed you in it' in different tones, just little touches like that... it's one of the only fundamental things, I feel, he picked up on from MMLP1 - if you look at all of his other albums EXCEPT for MMLP1 (and now MMLP2), they are very mostly 'verse, hook, verse, hook' - he's creative within the writing and flows but MMLP1 had lots of little breaks of the flows, where he'd just make an insult a little musical moment or some s---... little touches which made the music feel alive and like he was unpredictable.
He picked up on that with songs like So Far, notice all the little flow changes and moments where he just turns a joke into a little sing song or musical comment etc. , which is why it feels so at odds with something so formatted like Survival.
I like the tone he's exploring lately too. He tried to go a bit more nasal than this for MMLP2 era which resulted in a lot of s--- sounding more SSLP than MMLP... but on No Favours and this, it's deeper. And I think he's done shouting to death so would be interested to hear this kind of tone with bursts of shout or change-ups.
Probably the only slight criticism I'd have, if I had to pick one... was the 'get it' but it kinda worked here because he used it as a basis for the following rhymes, so was actually a nice little segway. And the rest of his vibe felt playful so didn't feel cringe - and the actual wordplay was pretty good, but I hope he doesn't get into that bad habit again of constantly going WINK GET IT!!? It's like... Yeah bruh, we got it, stop doing a disservice to your own wordplay by pointing it out.Dudley, NAES, Dj Diesel and 1 other person like this. -
