Dec 14, 2015 I'm not too afraid to admit that I cringe at some of my opinions when I look back at them a few months later as well.
Dec 14, 2015 If it wasn't for current events, this song would not have been picked. That's not good, and says a lot about pitchfork.
Dec 14, 2015 http://uk.complex.com/music/2015/12/best-songs-of-2015/ you can think they're wrong, you can think they're influenced by the song's social significance. but you can't reasonably argue that they're alone, or in any way unique by having "alright" near the top of their list. (for the record, i think "song of the year" is a broad enough to justify taking context into account. that's how people build mythology about a song anyway--you're just seeing it in the reverse order.)
Dec 14, 2015 One of thugs best and most relevant songs I'd say it's his most underrated but he probably has some God tier unreleased s--- only narsh has heard
Dec 14, 2015 It's not in the top 20 Thug songs of the year and arguably not even the top 5 on B6. Definitely not in his top 5 most relevant either.
Dec 16, 2015 It's funny. When TPAB first dropped, everyone on here was sleeping on alright. It wasnt even in most peoples top 3 at the time. Except me, that song kinda hit me right away and stood out as my favorite early on. Now it's kinda transformed and become this "song of the year" song and even so impactful that it's used in protests/rally's etc.
Dec 16, 2015 pretty much everybody has a different favorite song protesters and all that s--- go with Alright Obama says its how much a dollar cost his favorite song of 2015 Most heads I talk to tend to go with Momma jazz musicians go with For Free etc..
Dec 16, 2015 Yes and thats why tpab is such a great album, just like GKMC and S.80 before it, almost all songs are great and can be considered the best. I'm just pointing out how people were sleeping on alright when it dropped, but now everyone praises it. I called it lol
