This album did seem to have a lot better beats than the previous ones. Will listen in full soon.

yeah you’re probably right having gun and shooting-related references as well as Las Vegas in one verse doesn’t give it away at all

absolutely I do. you have a history of critically rewarding rappers for being "progressive" on certain key sjw issues, for example Young Thug openly flirting with homosexuality, while severely penalizing Eminem for homophobic lyrics. as I pointed out before you dismissed Kamikaze over a single homophobic slur--in fact you were livid--and again despite your arguments being couched in terms of critical (if particularly weak) analysis anyone can see through them for what they really are: deceitful attempts by a radical leftist to shape the attitudes and opinions of your target audience away from what you see as bigotry and towards progressivism. you're just a propagandist

this review is, in effect, a defense of eminem’s entire creative enterprise since 2010 — despite its numerous, baffling failures, his work this past decade has at least been technically coherent, and what i did in this review was isolate that quality and place him back in the creative lineage that most criticism has stripped him from due to his celebrity.

the fact that you could listen to that album, read this review, then spend time whining about it being “too negative” is... strange to me. this is a middling record with interesting moments.

it also does not “accidentally approve of relapse.”

I mean it's definitely an impressive skill and I'm not faulting him for doing it on the album cuz his fans eat that up, I just think he could have done it on a different song lol

Oh definitely not. That's what really kills this record for me is the baffling choices and giving into his worst instincts—taking a potential hit single with a super catchy juice wrld hook and deciding to go full Rap God in the last verse, those made-up love songs, making another sequel to c-m on everybody that gets worse every album (ie white trash party, those kinda nights), ed sheeran in general. The Step Dad hook borders on self-parody lol.

At least there were no Call of Duty MTN Dew anthems this time around?

That's why you gotta read the review not just look at the score. The reviews are written by different people. The writer generally does not have final say in the score as far as I know.

They also have kami and revival both as 5 lol. Revival should definitely be lower and (imo) kami higher

If it was because it was anti trump that would be dumb and not objective

Not getting into this argument again because last time it ended in people twisting my words and not being able to have a civil convo. I'm happy to discuss the subject w you but not surrounded by them.

Wild young MA is the first female rapper to be on an Eminem project lol, and maybe the third (?) on a track in general after like, Missy and Nicki lol

The review is s---, as one could expect.

The author thinks Darkness was predictable, Young MA has charisma and Eminem should go back to using the a--- like that voice. I mean, c'mon...
