I liked Young MA’s verse. My problem with the song isn’t Em’s verse just that the two rappers don’t sound like they belong on the same song because their takes on it are completely different.

I’m more ambivalent toward Darkness. Cool concept, but on a sonic level it doesn’t do much for me.

You’ve spent every day for 15 years discussing how bad Eminem is. You’re even trying to make a career out of it. I would say you take the cake in the loser department.

duh, but the double entendre is so obvious that when taken together with all the other blatant ones the plot becomes obvious. “A lot of shots” “tear up stage” “I’m getting loaded”. This is elementary stuff lol. The fact that you typed this all out for me to understand is hilarious

That darkness is a bland, dull song and his writing suffers in it. You are not moralizing but I wish you were because you are either plain wrong from the techical perspective or not giving him enough credit.

Ok, but its not like I've never heard another rapper or rap song. I hear them, I find them inferior to eminem.

I do read a lot and love a good written word, from that perspective I can say Eminem is an amazing writer. Coupled with the flows I enjoy, I know enough to say Eminem is a brilliant rapper. And I mean that literally, I consider Eminem a genius. Genius doesnt mean flawless, I have my fair share of disapproval towards his work, for example entire MMLP2, but as popular as Eminem is, he still doesnt get enough credit.

    - i don’t think anyone needs to write more about his decline but maybe in the future i’ll write something about what i think works well on relapse

    - i thought those kinda nights was kind of embarrassing but didn’t wanna dwell on it

    - you are of course right that criticism that reduces art to good/bad political binaries is bad; there is of course a long history of critics grappling with the moral content of art, and that can be very compelling too.

You keep pointing that out but I think thats just a safe way for you to write your biased opinion in gloves. Like doing stupid things and saying "its just a prank!", you have these opinions which have nothing to do with technique but you shoehorn them in as if then its a valid criticism from you rather then the openly moralizing ones.

Because you make it as if its not just your opinion and its in a published review. Its not even close to being my favorite song. h---, I like chloraseptic more.
I have 2pac and Lil Wayne in my rotation, I give a chance to others but they do nothing for me. But I dont see my lack of familiarity with a variety of rap as a discrediting fact about me.

I tried listening to aesop rock recently, but like atmosphere, its just a guy talking uninteresting things to me in am uninteresting way. If darkness is dull, I dont know what these guys are.

i’m not a huge fan of underground and wouldn’t complain about it being cut, but it being stylistically different from the rest of the album is its whole reason for existing, no?

bad guy is good, darkness isn’t. why are you so hung up on whether or not i like your dumb little favorite song? grow up.
my guy, go work out your weird bigotry elsewhere. find me any examples of me giving someone undue artistic credit for their identity.
do you listen to any other rappers? honest question

as someone already pointed out this guy @WPG is biased, and in the worst ways: politically and socially. for example, all Young M.A. had to do in order to outdo Eminem on Accommodating was be a gay female rapper. it's not about the music at all really, as a straight white male Eminem didn't stand a chance

Ppl opinions on things differ so much it makes no sense to follow handful of ppl opinions. I care more about universal opinions from the masses

for games and movies the option exist. Music still doesnt. Since we saw what happened by ktt and r/kanye for Em album

Reviewing anything in 2020 is dumb imo. Movies. Games. Music

Userscores should be the way to go. But controlling it is hard. Since not all sites can have imdb algorithm

Charisma is definitely important...think about how many of the greats sounded effortlessly cool: Jay, Wayne, Ghostface, 50, BIG, Snoop, Cam, both members of Outkast, p---- C...the list goes on.

So when eminem says "f--- pitchfork with a corkscrew" he's actually saying "f--- @WPG with a corkscrew" ?

I don't like your writing WPG. You come off as too smug. No actual substance in your review, M.A better on Unaccomodating? You gave Bad Guy a 10/10 but eminem's writing suffers in Darkness? Some crazy bias going on here, and it has nothing to do with music.

That’s like complaining Iverson would never play the game like Shaq in the paint. There’s multiple ways to succeed in writing music. Who would want double entendre galore from Kanye lmao.
