Jan 29, 2020 To be honest if you only are a fan of three rappers then I’m not sure you’re really one to be calling other rappers inferior even if you’ve tried listening to a bunch of other rappers. I’d hardly even call you a fan of the genre at that point. And like I said, there’s nothing wrong with only liking a few artists from a genre. I like rage against the machine but that’s the only thing resembling metal that I listen to so I wouldn’t call myself a metal fan nor would I say that they’re the best because I simply do not know even though I’ve tried listening to other metal.

Jan 29, 2020 But thats the reason why I am a fan of eminem and not many others. I do find them inferior, but I made some posts in the past saying "I guess I'm just not a rap fan". I find eminems music enjoyable, others not in that degree. I am well aware that is my own limitation of appreciation of what rap can give, i didnt mean that post to be a higher ground me looking down on others. I do not pretend to be knowledgable about rap. I could have answered wpgs question with "yes i listen to everything and eminem is better" but for being honest I'm a loser. But at the end of the day, the fact we enjoy something more than another thing puts the thing we like as superior to the other one for whatever reason.

Jan 30, 2020 Fair enough but i disagree with the last part. For example Friday is one of my favorite movies but I don’t think it’s superior to 99% of movies out there. I think it’s a good comedy that I can turn on any time and enjoy.
Jan 30, 2020 Well you could say you think Friday is superior in terms of rewatchability and and overall enjoyability than most movies you would say are good but not something you would watch again and again. It is true I am not a proper rap fan, but not for lack of exposing myself to it. I tried and I tried. Illmatic is boring to me, jay z is boring to me, etc. I cannot say those are bad, just not something I can enjoy and in that sense eminem is superior to me.

Jan 30, 2020 Well "most" is a stretch especially considering there's a whole new generation of rappers who don't give a s--- about Em. But my point was that if you only listen to a few rappers you should just say you really like Eminem and leave it at that cuz if you only listen to a few artists in a genre I'd say you're more of a fan of those specific artists than a specific genre. I would take an actual rapper's opinion on who the greatest of all time is with more stock than a random guy on the internet that only listens to three rappers lol.
