    duno, but once it drops, the gyms are gonna be nearly unobtainable for any new comers since everyone else is gonna have like 20 levels up on them by that time. hasman gonna be choppin your pokes left n right.

    ...guys, this really is a super mediocre game when it comes to graphics, bugs, navigation, expanding gameplay (we're really just repeating the same actions over and over and over), etc.. nobody really seems to care though. kinda wild.

    i wonder how much of the success has to do with the innovation in AR, versus the fact that it carries the big pokemon name?

    @Slyk it it a lot. There's a game like this already on Android called concress or something like this and never bothered trying it

    yeah Ingress had a total of around 7 million players as of last year, the Pokemon brand was key in appealing to the masses

    i've never played, but i hear they basically took the entire game engine and just slapped some poke stuff on top of it, swapping out portals for pokestops.

    ...which is even more so why this feels like an 'incomplete' project at the surface to me. hard to describe, but it doesn't feel "fluent" across the gui/gameplay.

    not to say it's not a great game - i'm playing the s--- out of it and i think it's groundbreaking and will be a huge trendsetter.

    pokemon go's potential won't probably be fully realized until about a year for now considering the many modifications which can/need to be made. but ingress is something which has gained users along the way, poke go will only lose users along the way with activity spikes as they introduce updates
