    :clap: For a while I thought me and my mate were the only 2 Australians that had any idea wtf EV's and IV's are. I haven't touched Ruby in ages, but I might play it a bit more, just so i can be Pokemon Master of SXN80.


    Also, new game's meant to be coming soon.

    Oh sweet, do you have any links to any information about it?

    This is the first time I've ever gotten into the breeding side of the game. Found it quite confusing at first, now it's just more frustrating waiting for what I need (and never getting any shinies because the game hates me). I do love just how easy they have made it in this game, I can't imagine trying to breed competitively in one of the pervious games.

    I'm not very good at making a strong team, that will be the next lesson. Trying to figure out which Pokemon compliment each other is difficult when there are so many to choose from.

    I've stuck to my roots since red and blue. One of each type: Flying, Ice, Water, Dragon, Psychic, and Normal.

    I could care less about Fairy and whatever else new they have now.

    No, I'm the same, try to make sure you have the bases covered, if you can get some dual type pokemon with the least amount of weakness awesome.
    I'm talking more about abilities and movesets working for the pokemon in question and others on your team in case of double battles.
    I based my fire type around working better in wet conditions, which benefits my water pokemon, but my grass pokemon's ability favours sunny conditions. Which has me considering breeding a new fire type to work in both conditions.

    I caught a shiny male Combee that you can have. But I know male sucks cuz it can't evolve :emoji_slight_frown:

    Ugh the Fairy type. I don't mind it, but making Dragon type weak to Fairy types is... Ugh.

    Nah there isn't much info on the new game, sorta. It's rumored that it's coming soon (because this is the time for release date, considering past releases) also the legendary guy from X/Y zygarde has a mega evo special coming out in Japan soon. Also, have you heard about the deep lore going on in the Pokemon universe? Like the whole 'each generation of game, is a different parallel-Pokemon-universe' ? It's pretty confusing but it's little stuff hidden throughout the newer games.
    Checkout serebii.net and smogon.com for competitive tier listing and stuff like that. Me and the homie used that site to help build our team, then make children cry at local eb games Pokemon battle Comp. like maybe I bullied them, but I put over 100 hours into all my Pokemon games.

    Also @Mimi I used to play it hard cause I got a 1 hour bus to high school daily and breeding in diamond was bs, ev training was bs, all of it was. I used this action replay thing to cheat the game sort of. I still put 500 hours into my diamond, but I just made it so eggs hatched one step and parents dropped eggs after 1 step. Still so time consuming raising these d--- animals...

    Oh yeah, I've seen things online about a rumoured new game, thought there had been a definite announcement. Didn't know about the new mega. I read a bit on the parallel universes but didn't take much of it in as I just wanted info on dates for Hoopa .
    I'll normally look up Pokemon of the Week on Serebii =p I just think I went about making a team in a silly way. Instead of doing the research into a full team with good walls and s--- I've just been choosing pokemon that I dont think would be used often. So far, Larvesta, Horsea and working on breeding the right Exeggcute.

    That's a nifty little cheat, even though breeding is easy now, still wouldn't mind it being less time consuming. I think I'm at about 500hrs on Omega Ruby. Although quite a few of those hours are probably me falling asleep with my DS on. I find breeding to be pretty relaxing.

    Dragon types were too OP though, you could storm through anything with dragon + steel types
