I think pretentious is different cause it's used as an adjective to describe a work of art or an artist in the case you were using it. I was moreso labeling a small group of people SJWs, perhaps mistakenly cause maybe that term is used to desctibe a larger demographic than I thought?

I'm from Romania, but live in America since I was about 9, but my whole family lived through communism so the impact it left behind is hard to get away from, maybe if you watched that short I posted you would know

yea but to be fair I was just saying that pretentious is a lazy criticism in film. I wasn't using SJW as a form of criticism but rather a label of a group that I was criticizing.

not that any of this matters anyways, the point got way off track, I just wanted to air some clown out for not realizing the weight he was bringing into the Casey Affleck discussion with his ignorant article. But then again, Lonergan already aired him out so I shoulda just let it be.

Idk man, I think my point stands that they don't quite realize the implications of using the communist flag and how it makes them look to the rest of the world, it's hurting their own cause by taking such extreme stances, I'll stand behind that.

History of American communism is different from the strand of brutal communism that oppressed your ancestors and friends.
