    I'm 2/3 through my first listen. Obv need several listens to form a proper opinion, but first impressions? Not as good as Chronic and 2001, far from it actually. But I hope it'll grow on me for each listen!

    After one listen:
    • Much, much better in HQ
    • WHY ISN'T DR. DRE THE FIRST RAPPER ON HIS OWN ALBUM? Seriously bothered by this, especially right after that fantastic intro. I'm sitting there hyped as s--- for Dre.. and some dude I've never heard of before starts mumbling over a classic Dre beat.
    • Kendrick shines. This is what TPAB could've been.
    • Eazy-E vocals were great.
    • Deep Water > Every song released in 2015
    • Wish the song with Snoop Dogg was more of a West Coast anthem like Nuthin' But A G Thang / Next Episode rather than a song about killing people.
    • Just Another Day almost put me to sleep
    • Having 2 songs from other artists on your own album is still weird to me
    • Eminem was monotonous. I don't remember a word he said.
    • Talking To My Diary is a great outro with a corny title and hook.
    • Overall, a wonderful album that captured the essence of Dr. Dre. Succeeded my expectations. Tons of replay value. It's not Detox, but it's close.

    EDIT: Forgot to add how surprised at the effort that went into this album. Dre made it sound like it was thrown together in a few months, but it holds a TPAB level of care that goes into every second of every song.

    The Game killed it. Too bad he couldn't be that consistent most of his career.

    Also, Slim The Mobster did make the album as he is on the Talking To My Diary chorus.
