Aug 7, 2015 so because the album is structured in a similar manner to TPAB in terms of consistency with the features and the overall sound I'm having a hard time figuring out if any of this was kept in the vault for the "original detox" i know it "evolved" overtime and eventually became this but still originally i was going to ask which songs do you think were kept in the vault for a long time and which do you think are more recent because Medicine Man got me thinking.. it's always easy to place what time frame an eminem verse was written based off his delivery and MM sounds pretty recent.. but then he's yelling so it threw me off and made me think it's older than i initially thought but that doesnt really work here because the rest of the album is so meshed that it seems like it was cooked up in one sitting recently i really can't place a timeframe on this.. its like 2015 dre... thats exactly what it is and it sounds great lol i wanna say he's been spending years on this but it all sounds so fresh and new and combined with that old school vibe, i simply can't place it
Aug 7, 2015 The Eminem verse is definitely new. The 'yelling', flow, and overall sound is not much different from his recent stuff specifically his guest verse on Love Story. Based on the pictures and talk posted on the internet of people like Xzibit and Premier, I believe we can definitely say this was recorded recently. Or atleast the majority of it.

Aug 7, 2015 I'd say this was recorded in the last 5 months or so. Kendrick's verses have a familiar feel to TPAB Eminem's verse seems newer because he's rapping pretty fast and his voice sounds similar to all i think about.

I just spent the last few minutes looking through Candice Pillay's twitter and instagram and her first mention on working with Dre was a picture of both of them in the studio from 18 weeks ago. She only has two features on Compton, one of them being Medicine Man. There was also a picture I found that had Curt Chambers in the studio with Dem Jointz in the studio from 10 weeks ago. Both of them were also involved in the production of Medicine Man. This song looks like it was recently made, and i even think Em's verse is recent too.
Aug 7, 2015 Talking To My Diary and the part from Loose Cannons (1:00 - 1:30) beat is def older, like around 2008-2012. You can even hear it out that it has Relapse / Before I Self Destruct style.
