Aug 13, 2015 What part of medicine man is tes vibe listened for the first time today an the song was sounding good then em came on an jus ruined it can't even listen to that s--- I'm a big Stan but apart from all I think about none of them songs this year are that good mmlp2 was decent but bin a big decline since then his flow is jus unlistenable at the mo
Aug 13, 2015 Well for me, it's true. From 2004 - 2009, we still got good music, but most of the time songs would range from being "okay" to just being crap. Not that Eminem was a bad artist in 2004 - 2009 or anything, but he wasn't as good as he was in 1999 - 2003. The 2010's gave us albums like Recovery, h--- The Sequel, MMLP 2, and Shady XV. Those albums are just as good as some of his pre hiatus stuff.
Aug 13, 2015 I wish he'd quit bein so technical with s--- sometimes, like hes still trying to prove something when he's already proven it. Other than that I agree that he gets to much hate lately, I just think its the new trendy thing to hate on Em these days. Hating on him an talkin s--- about everything he puts out is just the cool thing to do now.. I guess
Aug 13, 2015 I don't see the "TES vibe" in Medicine Man. It's a good verse, but best on the album? No f---ing way Phenomenal, All I Think About and Best Friend are incredible. Raw is good though I like mostly because Royce Da 5'God" kills it. Kings Never Die and Speedom are good in their own ways, though I don't feel the urge to listen to them often. He isn't as bad as some people make him out to be.
Aug 13, 2015 I can understand if you say some of the songs on those albums can shine bright like his prime material but you said he is just as good in 2015 as he was in 2002, and you absolutely mean that-- which blows my mind. I'm sorry, what classic albums did he drop this year that I must've missed? Because the only thing I remember him releasing lately is Southpaw Soundtrack and ShadyXV which are both the definition of average. I don't see the '2002' worthy output. No, he was a bad artist in that time period. How can you say he wasn't?
Aug 13, 2015 1. I'll give you that one. I don't see MMLP2 being considered a classic anytime soon, and the same can be said with Shady XV. 2. He wasn't a bad artist in 2004 - 2009. In 2004 we got stuff such as Like Toy Soldiers. In 2005 we got When I'm Gone. In 2006 we got No Apologies (even if most of it was made in 2002 that version didn't appear until 2006), and in 2007 we got Syllables. In 2008 we got nothing In 2009 we got Relapse and Refill, and they weren't as good as his first 3 albums. We did get songs like Beautiful and Deja Vu though. Eminem was still putting out consistently good music during that era, although it wasn't as much or as good as previous years. I'd still be willing to call him a "Good to Meh" artist in 2004 - 2009.
Aug 13, 2015 I was born June 11 2002, so technically speaking I was alive when The Eminem Show came out.
Aug 13, 2015 ...And this is what I meant. Yeah, you can point out good songs and say 'see this is good and it was made this year (post-hiatus)', but that doesn't support the claim that he is as good in 2015 as he was in 2002.
Aug 13, 2015 nah i think they're different, two different kinds of prime. Eminem now is a different artist than he was.
Aug 13, 2015 Rap God is just as impressive as songs in 2002 because of his speed and lyrical creativity.
