Aug 13, 2015 I made a post here because I feel like most people go onto this section. So this is my opinion on him: At first, I thought: «Wow, the real underground stuff!» when I heard the Ill Mind 5. Then I started noticing that something is not right about him. His point and the desire to change the world can be understood, but I began to realize that it’s so immature. He sounds like Tupac and Eminem wannabe without going through much experience. Then I noticed how horrible the production is, it seems that it was synthesized on Garaband. Hooks are on the level of a 12 year old: «You were my friend, you betrayed me, I’m tired if this bullsh*t», or «I loved you, but you left me», and the worse is his newest single, where he urges to «change, stop putting the make up on, and do not watch TV». You can’t change the world that way? You can’t change the way the society works. He makes fun of Lil Wayne and other new mainstream artists, but maybe it’s because when people go out to clubs, bars, or even get off work they want to listen to something that will take their mind off and enjoy music? I don’t wanna listen to problems? In MMLP, Eminem does rap about problems, but his music is on point, more mature, and has really catchy hooks and funny skits.
Aug 13, 2015 Hopsin is a joke. He looks dumb as f-ck using Eminem's style. He ain't even good at it. Then Hopsin had the nerve to talk about Eminem's music.
Aug 13, 2015 And I completely understand your thought process, I'm just telling you it's wrong. You can compare him to Eminem in one of the sections listed above. This section is for Eminem related news / discussions. Edit: Also if you want to compare, there is the "X vs Y" section as well.
Aug 13, 2015 Hopsin was OKAY on Raw. Othe then that he's been consistently bad. Anyone who actually compares him to Eminem skill wise is a joke.
Aug 13, 2015 I liked Pound Syndrome, but Hopsin is bad on it. His lyrics are write with an elementary school level.
Aug 13, 2015 I used to like hopsin a few years ago but got tired of it really quick, now I just find him annoying...
Aug 13, 2015 Hop owns. Ill Mind 4 reminds me 100% of earlier em. love it. no need to compare the two. hop has a great flow and funny/sometimes deepish lyrics. i dig him. whatever!
