Have you ever heard T-Pain sing without autotune?

It's not really a crutch. Most artists who use it as blatantly as they do use it for the exaggerated effect (like a vocoder). When it's actually used as a tool to correct minor vocal flubs, you don't even hear it because it's so subtle.

Groundhog Day is quite good but there's no replay value there. Don't Front and Desperation sound like throwaways to me.
Not a fan of Headlights, Evil Twin is good until the end where he starts rhyming s--- for the sake of it (koala bears), Rap God is good, Bad Guy is lackluster until the end.. Yeezus has some amazing songs whereas MMLP2's best songs are just good, and those songs are few and far between.

No, a lot of us just came up on Eminem's first three albums and went through the 5 stages of loss and grief when we realized he would never be as good as he once was. Something like this:

    1. Denial: "Encore is dope, Eminem you did it again, you a genius n-----!"
    2. Anger: "f--- you if you don't understand Big Weenie smh."
    3. Bargaining: "Yeah but it's still better than 90% of what rappers are dropping today"
    4. Depression: "f---."
    5. Acceptance: "Yeah he sucks, Kanye is the better artist no question."

    :idk:

Listening right now to Yeezus. Pretty good so far. I'd say a little better than MMLP2 if not the same. Only half way through tho.

you'll definitely see that its 100x better once you're done.

its such a perfect front to back listen, which MMLP2 isnt in any way (too much filler, subpar songs, horrible singles, etc)

Also, New Slaves, Blood on the Leaves, Hold my Liquor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> life

Have an open mind about it. It's not necessarily a rap album. Kanye is approaching the genre from a different angle (again), doing something unique with each and every song.

Takes a few listens to really appreciate.
