nobody forgets it, but not everybody ‘gets it’. some fans for example legitimately can't see the world of difference between the (rather few) highlights of MMLP2 and MMLP, and think Brainless might as well have been recorded in 2000. (this is a pretty extreme case but it's common enough)

you don’t think MMLP is even close?

If Drake released Relapse, he would've been laughed out of the industry. The only reason it hasn't happened to Em (yet) is because of all the equity he earned during his prime.

Never. Relapse was dope the production and flow was one of ems best just the content was meh. But what are you exepting from slim? Love songs? SSLP and MMLP was also in the horrorcore style if relapse drop in 2000 people would rate it better than now

Was just about to post this, if drake rapped about half the s--- eminem did, especially relapse he would definitely be hated for it, only reason em gets away with it is because he's eminem, and we somewhat expect this from him, if drake said 'i even make the b------s i r--- c-m' it would suddenly become a worldwide issue, but because its em everyone thinks "its okay it's just em being em"

This is just one example though.....

SSLP & MMLP couldn't be further from "horrorcore". They were creative, witty, and filled with great lines and production throughout that showcased his talents. The only great thing about Relapse was Deja Vu & the production.

"Couldnt be further from horrorcore" may be a stretch, but horrorcore definitely isnt the right term to describe them, despite having some horrorcore in them.....

no I don't, and I don't say that to s--- on MMLP, I think it's an excellent album. But it has its share of problems - too many skits (Ken Kaniff, really?), too much of a novelty factor that hurts replay value (all the pop culture references, and something like Kim isn't going to get many spins from me in 2015), and there is some genuine filler (Under the Influence is middling at best). It's a great album, but it's nowhere near as well-crafted as MBDTF is.

Funniest excuse for someone who said em > kanye was 'well, they were on a song together and eminem did better, therefore he's the better rapper' lmao.

For the record I think he did better, but both of them were pretty average. But lol @ that excuse, can't remember if it was on s80 or SL

This is as ignorant as me saying "lol at people saying Em is a better rapper but Kanye is a better producer like samples are the epitome of good production, foh"

I don't say he hasn't a bad song, but he hasn't a hit were he's just talking s--- for fun like "trifth shop" or "gold digger". At least I think so.

So what's My Name Is? Or The Real Slim Shady? Or any of his first singles? Are those not "talking s--- for fun"?

    Eminem didn't make beautiful music?

There was recently a Hailie's Song vs Only One thread and Hailie's song won by a landside.

First off, i don't care about landslides in polls containing Eminem on s80 lol I do like hailies song more tho

Hailies song is a beautiful song, 10/10
Sing for the moment has some great moments rap wise as well, but musically Eminem just doesn't have it in him

    Only on this forum lol.

Answer is simple, eminem is miles ahead of Kanye as a rapper. He's just better it's not hard to see that.
Kanye is miles ahead musically. Also very easy to see.
The styles are so different, but if you're placing the two on a hypothetical track together while each in their primes who shines? Eminem.

ehhh idk i guess it really depends on what you consider to be kanye's prime. if you think it's college dropout to graduation then eminem is clearly better. the way eminem progressed as an artist from sslp to 8 mile is pretty remarkable when you think about it. however with that being said the second half of kanye's career may be better than em's (sslp > 808s, mmlp < mbdtf, tes=yeezus)...it's certainly closer than eminem fans think it is as well as kanye fans.

    em's prime > kanye's prime
    em's lowest < kanye's lowest
