most definatley. A lot of people overlook that aspect. Going to a studio isnt just paying per hour because you have to pay that+egineer fees+mixing and mastering fees. s--- gets expensive real quick which i why i want to set up shop at my place

How much work can you get done with an hour of studio time anyway? Prolly not much.

You could get a whole song done if you don't f--- up too much with the recording and know what you're doing...

With that being said i probably wouldnt be able to get much done....

I record less serious things like freestyles or just test how things will sound out at home.
I got like your basic USB mic so it's pretty average.

But when I come up with something a little more serious then I just save up and pay for studio time and an engineer, to get it sounding good.

I can finish a whole track in an hour on a good day, but I don't think anyone really books just one hour of studio time. People buy like five or six hours and work on a bunch of s---

That's why you have to work on your craft and performance skills, it's a skill you generally acquire with more practice.

Trey songz recorded his single can't help but wait in 2 hours. Justin timberlake recorded the entire 20/20 part 1 album in 1 or 2 weeks [can't remember]. You can get a h--- of a lot done in an hour, a lot of people can do a whole verse/song in one take successfully.

haha yea there's way too much pressure to get s--- done and i'm always afraid i'd settle for a lower quality product just because i "paid for it." experimenting is the best part about music and studio time takes that aspect away. i can't imagine it'd be as fun tbh.
