Jul 31, 2015 Let's be real here, Cole is one of tha hardest hitters in the game with a solid af discography doing great numbers that being said, what is your personal favorite J.Cole song? I know...it's daunting, as my favorite Cole song could change every day of the week. But give it your best shot. This song is too perfect, that hook is the best of Cole's career imo The emotion in this verse Paint a picture to show the deaf what it's like to listen And speak the words and tell a blind man what he missin' For all my n----s doin' time man up in prison Felt you had to resort to crime, man f--- the system We raisin' babies up in Hades where there ain't no hope Ain't no fathers, don't take no scholarship to slang no dope Politicians hollerin' bout problems but I ain't gon' vote He talk about change Still we floatin' in the same ol' boat So tell me how I'm supposed to feel when the President spoke When he ain't never had to struggle Ain't never been broke Ain't even roll through the ghetto ain't neva been close Trustin' this government like trustin' the devil in oath
Jul 31, 2015 I Get Up is one of my many favorites but if I had to pick my absolute favorite it would be....It's impossible to choose one lol....I'll say it's a toss up between Premeditated Murder and Rise and Shine. I love his assessments of his rise to fame. These two songs' beats, hooks, and verses are all dope. That Jay Z skit at the beginning of Rise and Shine
Aug 2, 2015 But....I....I have so many. I can't just pick one. Well I guess I'll choose the one in heavy rotation currently: No Role Modelz....
Aug 17, 2015 Too Deep For The Intro Hearing this song alone made that 7 hour drive to Los Angeles for the FNL tour worth it, s--- is legendary..
Aug 17, 2015 Gotta be Premeditated Murder Man these songs that I made in my bedroom and s--- Gon' finally give a n----- leg room and a whip From a Civic to a Chevy must've died and went to heaven Like a passenger on 9/11 - please go find a reverend Like keep grindin' boy, your life can change in one year And even when it's dark out, the sun is shining somewhere Yeah, look here I pay dues My own worst enemy so f--- it either way I can't lose She catch me creepin' out your house she'll k--- me Is it worth it what's under that blouse? My heart'll turn pitch black and cold if I split with my girl If I could gift-wrap the globe, I would give you the world But, do you love me like you used to? Even though I ain't that n----- that you're used to Remember back when I was broke, you would fix me Do you prefer the broke me or the rich me
Oct 28, 2015 Still really new to J. Cole. I listened to Forest Hills Drive but that's it. @Changeling what's his best song in your opinion?
Oct 28, 2015 Probably "I Get Up." If the Be Free cut from his Letterman performance was an official track it might just be my favorite song of any genre ever.
