Aug 14, 2015 @Slyk I can't seem to edit my post in the biggie starter kit thread. I tried deleting my post and that option worked fine (I didn't delete it though) Edit: nvm it works now..false alarm
Aug 17, 2015 @Loyalty rocked it. props to everyone who contributed to this thread...i've got a SHITLOAD of work to do now...which is exactly what i was hoping for coming from this. not every single suggestion is doable right now, but the majority of it is -- which is awesome. success. also big shoutout to @able who landed 2nd place and who constantly contributes to these types of things. @FlameEffex, your images (and videos!) were super helpful. not sure if you've been lurking, or have just recently started posting again, but happy to have ya here -- we're always improving things...tell your friends. @DetroitSkills a couple of the things you called out were mentioned in the op or called out, but i appreciate the eyes-on as well as the rest of your suggestions everyone else, again, thank you. we'll do this again sometime in the future.
Aug 17, 2015 No problem brah, happy to help. And yeah I've lurked since SL was first launched. Rarely ever even logged in haha. But forums are definitely the fastest way to get information and music updates so I figured I'd stop being a scrub and actually try to contribute.
Aug 17, 2015 Glad to help, this forum's a great place. And I can't believe how the site is almost pixel-perfect responsive on mobile, keep it up @Slyk.
Aug 17, 2015 I'mma quote this post from the Status Update thread since the suggestion is partly implemented but I think it still could be a little bit better (like the second picture).
Aug 18, 2015 When I try to open up the RSS feed of a section (in this case: Announcements), it looks like this:
Aug 18, 2015 I think to use an RSS feed, you would just copy that URL (https://forum.sectioneighty.com/announcements.f81/index.rss for example) into your RSS reader, like Feedly, and then the updates would appear in your RSS feed when new topics/posts come in. I haven't used it with this forum before but I'm pretty sure that's how it works, as I use Feedly for a lot of other stuff @Slyk looks like we do need pictures for RSS feeds, probably not a priority right away though
Aug 18, 2015 Thanks for having a look into it bro. I was using the RSS button when you hover over a random section; it seems like the whole function is broken. Does it work on your end when you click rhe blue button on the right side of a section on the homepage?
Aug 18, 2015 Anytime. Nah, it also shows a wall of text for me when I click it, but I don't think it's meant to show anything else.. I believe it's only meant to be there for people to copy its link to their RSS reader. I may be wrong though, I'll let Slyk confirm that
Aug 18, 2015 If I remember correctly, it used to show a full functional page but yeah, let's see @Slyk says.
Aug 18, 2015 i'm pretty certain that that's how it's always behaved as well. tbph, i've never dabbled with rss stuff too much though...i'd be willing to take @Loyalty 's word here.
Aug 18, 2015 fixed @Help dont make anybody's primary group "plus" ... i took away all that groups special permissions...just make everyones in registered and anything else as secondary
Aug 19, 2015 Here are a few more things I noticed: The headers on the right side of https://forum.sectioneighty.com/members/ are white on a white background Line break before "Online Now" maybe, since it all doesn't fit on one line. Or a smaller font. Edit: never mind on that second one, I realize it does fit all on one line on bigger screens. I guess I assumed .mainContainer was a fixed size and not responsive
Sep 4, 2015 When looking at your followers list, more and close are right on top of each other on mobile WHERE MY VET STATUS @Slyk
