Aug 21, 2015 I have to actually sit and listen to this now. After seeing the comment, can't remember who it was but said Acquainted was much like Girls Born In The 90s I skimmed through to check and ya pretty much. Little different beat and lyrics.

Aug 21, 2015 Just had my first listen and I was extremely pleased. I was pleasantly surprised in the sound of the tape. This is without a doubt better than Kl. The production is executed to perfection. Will definitely give this more spins. The opening of the tape is fire. Can't feel my face >>>>
Aug 21, 2015 Guess I'm going to be one of the few that thinks Kissland > this. I've only gave it one spin though, I think it's solid but can't say I'm not a tad bit disappointed. Then again it took MONTHS for Kissland to grow on me. Wasn't until I took a trip to Europe & played it while I was on a plane to Paris that I really loved the album.

Aug 21, 2015 Idk why this is getting hate (not on here) he's yet found a way to expand the Trilogy sound, he' still the same Weeknd people fell in love, dark sexual, and druggy. I mean he's a long way from Trilogy sound, but at the same time, it's still there. He's trying his hardest to give the OG fans the lyrics & vibes they fell for in the first place while having to balance out a mainstream pop sound. I think this was a good effort. It's not like Gone or Loft Music but nothing will ever be, we have those songs but we don't have a Tell Your Friends, Prisoner, Acquainted, or Dark Times so it's just up to fans to support this cause honestly he is going far against what mainstream pop is. You think Republic want him singing bout Coke and f---ing b------s? h--- no, he's trying, it not comparable to Trilogy or KL, and it shouldn't be, it's a completely new work of art.
Aug 22, 2015 Couldn't say it better myself. Trilogy was great, but artists evolve. Appreciate the good music. Guys gonna get scrutinized like the next Eminem in due time lol (no he's not as big obviously, calm down). He's not going back to that dark, mysterious vibe. This album is more uplifting and people should accept it. There's plenty of great songs on here.
