    bruh

    99% of my tracks for a project sit at like 1:30 min. in length for forever. i'm just now finishing up Ripple Effect, and I've still got to do the other half of Lost To The Storm and decide on whether or not to add a second part to Downpour and Hailfire.

    it's especially hard for me because after the drop with most of my songs I just don't even know where to go in terms of direction/structure most of the time. edm's a b---- like that sometimes

    Yea, I really don't have any desire to finish some of my production to be honest..lol

    I mean.. I really want to finish this album, because it means a lot to me, I just have like 50 sec snippets sitting in an "unfinished" folder..waiting for some kinda inspiration to be finished, or be used for another project.

    tbh man

    i sometimes have to just sit down and force myself to do it and work on it until i make some kind of headway, and eventually I'll get back into that headspace where i was at when i was first making the track, or at least one where I can finish it up and make progress and then suddenly, I bust out the rest of it overnight and then just make little adjustments on it here and there till release.

    biggest issue for me is after awhile I've heard it all about a million times on every part of the song by itself and as a whole and I just get burned out on certain tracks and avoid them. also, some of them I'm just like "this is great but how the f--- do I even begin to end this song?" and I put it off for forever cause I 'know' I 'can't' finish it.

    but then I just do it and i get great s--- like Ripple Effect and Ice In Your Veins.

    That's how I was with 'Friends With No One' and 'Embrace The Strange'.. I worked on Friends... for like 6 months..and took a 3 month break..and got the passion back to finish it

    then with Embrace... I was just in the zone.. and knocked that out in like 4 hrs

    I kinda get annoyed with this process though

    i feel you, I def too

    it's frustrating cause I just wanna sit down and get it all done and out of the way finally so I can take a break again like I did for a second after TCW, but I don't want to rush it. and I'm so bad about procrastinating and I have my random insecure moments where I'm suddenly like omg everything I'm making is awful why even bother and then suddenly I'm back in it and putting in work and getting s--- done out of nowhere.

    i just want a consistent drive and ability to work on stuff... but I guess this is just how it goes with creative s---, at least for me
