    @Skippy @brillo pad beard my original example is definitely mathematically flawed beyond that comparison because if a 9.0 album comes out, it won't bump a previously 9.0 album down to an 8.9. My example was strictly to show ludicrous it is to give Rodeo a 9.5. There's no limit on how many albums can be 9.5/10s because it's not a strictly objective, quantifiable test like the SAT or something where more people scoring better than you will bump you down a percentage. However, if we have lots and lots of classic albums in a sample size, they will make albums that are just "good" in that sample look a lot worse by comparison. It's hard to rate something if you have nothing to compare it against.
