    As much as I hate to admit it, the top 2 are.. obviously Thug and Future

    so..

    1. Future
    2. Thug
    3. Vince Staples
    4. Kendrick
    5. Mac Miller

    Kanye shouldn't even be mentioned, because his album probably won't be released anytime soon

    eminem shouldn't be mentioned either; for obvious reasons

    Drake gets an honorable mention though, because he s--- on Meek..and there's some hype for his new album

    so, yea.. I 'm not really a fan of the first 2, but if they aren't in your list, at least some where.. you're not being realistic.

    freddie gibbs
    open mike eagle
    vince staples
    billy woods
    young thug

    beyond them, you can argue for: kanye, kendrick, azealia banks, action bronson, nicki minaj, earl sweatshirt, ka, roc marci, serengeti, lil herb, danny brown, quan, mick jenkins, busdriver, currensy. outsider picks could be ishmael butler, kodak black, yg, saba, junglepussy, shy glizzy, boogie, pusha t, nocando.

    my opinion is that it's cool a rich kid is trying weird s--- but we shouldn't pretend he's even a capable rapper
    mac is fine, just don't think he's ready for this discussion. chance is obviously immensely talented, but it's looking more and more like acid rap was a flash in the pan.

    alphabetical. i think future and thug are clearly the top two, followed by mike, gates, boosie, and vince, then by gibbs and woods.

    that's fair although I'll probably reserve judgement until chance's sophomore album comes out. I'm hoping he's like a kanye where everything feels a little underwhelming and haphazardly put together until it comes time to turning in an official album.
