Sep 15, 2015 have you even read any of my posts, or are you just defaulting back to your same ridiculous stubborn a--- comments? follow the bouncing ball: this started with me asking why he hasn't had commercial success. commercial success <> a niche group of people who rate an artist highly. i never put into question that he has a small, but loud, group of people who adore him. so, i gotta ask you again, and i absolutely mean it: are you high? the purpose of this thread, and of my posts, is to discuss thugger's longevity in the game. it's not a stretch to conclude that if you have commercial success, then the odds of your longevity increase. and it's not a stretch to assume that thugger likely wants to be a huge success. a + b = why i asked about his [lack of] commercial success. this make sense, or do i need to use smaller words for you right now?

Sep 15, 2015 and if you're wondering why thug isn't a huge commercial success at the moment or why he hasnt had a hit since Lifestyle, it's all about memes (being somewhat srs, hear me out). that lifestyle hook turned into a meme which ended up making the song more popular. the closest he's gotten to this was "imma ride in that p---- like a stroller," but you cant really market that to a mainstream audience.

"lifestyle" definitely lent itself to vines and whatever but it's also unique for its blend of consumerism and this deep, persistent sadness. it's a genuinely brilliant song.

I wasn't making some research based on that thread (AA lol?), I was just saying that a) narsh isn't some tasteless weirdo and b) the majority of thugger's recent work is actually good and there are people here who share this opinion, so it's unfair to single out narsh for that and try to troll him while we're in an ongoing thread with decent discussion; on the other hand you're throwing around the word "trash" for random songs with no other criticisms so that really doesn't mean anything. Also, what does "thugger love thread" mean? It's a thread with recommendations, and most of these (hey I haven't heard everything yet) are good. Do you actually imply that people like me, Fire Squad, Radeem, Meero etc are spineless followers who can't properly criticise songs if they're coming from an artist we generally enjoy (not to mention the people who became thugger fans after listening to some of the songs posted there)? That's r-----ed, honestly. We're not in the eminem section man! Since you started this conversation, what's your sample when you say that "people don't like these songs"? Which songs were you talking about? Songs in B6? Random leaks (lol? I mean, they're leaks.) His recent mixtapes? If you check out some of the mixtape hosting sites, you can see that his tapes have been streamed or downloaded quite a lot, and are well received there (user ratings.) The Barter 6 reviews have been quite positive, for the most part. I'm pretty sure that you know better than me that Thug has hits (even in EU, not his own song though but he had a major contribution) and, to make things clear, that's all I said on the topic at hand. I should have worded my previous post better, my bad dude.
