Sep 16, 2015 I remember waking up before school one morning and seeing the "There is no Relapse 2" tweet and was like "WTF" and went on to school and then afterwards I came home and Recovery had been announced and the Despicable freestyle dropped
Sep 16, 2015 Your memory is broke fam. Despicable came out later in April, Recovery announced like 14th

Sep 16, 2015 I was doing research in the library in college and randomly checked Eminems twitter only to see "there is no Relapse 2" kinda thought he was retiring again so i was kinda pissed
Sep 16, 2015 I was 14 years old and I don't remember where I was when Relapse was announced, but I do remember that I heard "I'm having a relapse" like a day after release and I was slighty dissapointed. For me biggest dissapointment in that era was "we made you", mainly because of accent and whole mood of this song. First two weeks of May 2009 I was on school trip and I didn't hear an album till like 15 May nor hear that it leaked. I was excited, but not too pleased. When Em tweeted that "there is no relapse 2" I was like "wtf is he retiring?", but then came out that he will only change name of his second album after hiatus and I was OK with that. "Despicable" got me hyped, but then came out "Not Afraid "and I didn't know how I feel about this song especially with parts when he sings. Overall after leak of Recovery I really digged the album(most of the songs). I still don't like that Rihanna joint though(too poppy). Edit: Also I want to add that "I'm having a relapse" grew on me since then. I really dig it right now. It was dissapointment mainly because those accents.
Oct 1, 2015 i remember 2 just woke up was with my first love, was a senior in high school it leaked on the old rapbasement(where this came from) was awesome i woke her up and forced her to listen to it, was around 7 am right b4 school
Oct 1, 2015 When Recovery was announced I sat in my room playing Cod4 with my friends. Was REALLY hyped about it, since I didn't like Relapse that much and this was around the time my Stan era peaked.
Oct 1, 2015 I was 24 when Relapse was announced. Honestly the way I heard about it was when I watched the grand finale final episode of TRL, which was in November 2008. They had Eminem call into the show, he hadn't been heard from in forever, and he announced it. Of course I was excited as f---. But then came Crack A Bottle and eventually We Made You and I was like what the f--- is this s---? Probably the two worst singles of his career. I was 25 when the Relapse 2 cancellation was announced. I heard about it on Rap Basement tbh. I didn't know what to think at first but when he said he was recording a new album going in a different direction I was very excited. We got The Warning that summer then Forever and Drop The World that fall, and I was liking the new accent-free direction he was going. Then that spring we got Airplanes 2, Despicable, and Not Afraid and I was like holy s--- he's back! Recovery wound up becoming my personal favorite Eminem album of all-time. Side note: I still think it was cool of him to drop Refill in late 09 after the Relapse 2 cancellation. He didn't have to do that at all. That was something he strictly did for his fans because he promised us two albums that year. So in the end it worked out. We wound up getting 2.5 albums instead of two.
Oct 1, 2015 When Relapse dropped, I bought it from HMV, third album I ever purchased. When Recovery was announced, I didn't know because I wasn't on the internet. I heard about the album when Not Afraid was on TV, but when tracks like Talkin' 2 Myself and Space Bound leaked, I vividly remember being on my dad's computer and listening to them. I got the album for my birthday that year
