Nov 4, 2015 I mean... I think of it in the way Weeknd was obviously influenced by MJ. Wayne's in the DNA and you can hear it easily, but Thug's got his own thing he's doing with it.
Nov 4, 2015 I honestly at first didn't really f--- with Thugger, I wasn't a hater or s--- but I peeped 1017 Thug and because everyone was hyping it up like old heads do Illmatic it was hard to live up to that. Overtime though I pepped more s--- after getting away from the opinions of others good or bad and Thugger grabbed my ears and never let go. Dude is like Future in the sense that he just makes s--- that you don't even need to be a fan to realize his music just sticks with ya. His voice, writing, style etc he's just one of those artists that once even just one song gets in your head you're not getting him out of it. You're a Thugger fan and wanna hear more.
Nov 5, 2015 His voice, his flow, his fashion. I think you know what I mean by his voice. His voice on records, not the actual voice. His flow is really special and different, game-changing. His fashion, I'd call it swag now. I like everything he wears man, women jeans, dresses, whatever. You gotta know how you wear that and he knows it. I think him and Future are killing the game right now. Can't wait to hear more from Thugger. Already listened to SS1 and SS2 and it makes me hungry for more. And that Homicide snippet man.
Nov 5, 2015 Agree to a point. He doesn't sound exactly like Wayne anymore, but there's definitely moments where like d---, you could've fooled me.
Nov 5, 2015 The difference Wayne is pretty bad in 2015 and has been for a while. and when he does "try" nowadays u can clearly tell why thug is the better artist in this day and age Wayne is wooden. Robotic. Thug is eternally free
Nov 5, 2015 Yeah I'm not saying it's a bad thing or even comparing Thug to 2015 Wayne, I'm just saying in general the Wayne influence is clear.
Nov 6, 2015 both of yall should post more often! we would love hearing from yall in thugsxn more frequently welcomee
Nov 6, 2015 At first, I pretended to like it, but as I gave him a chance, his catchy hooks and cadences in his delivery made me legit enjoy him. I mean, this type of music ain't for everybody, but it's stupid to ignore the appeal. People can brush it off as nonsense, but there is a fresh sort of style going on with each of his tracks, and I respect that a lot. I mean, I will prefer r33l hip h4wp over Thugger, but I enjoy his music when I'm in the right mood. So, yeah...
Nov 6, 2015 fact that u typed real hip hop like that means u already get how dumb distinguishing s--- like that is lol
Nov 6, 2015 Thugger is real hip-hop right now. There's no discussion about that. Hip-hop is changing, everything is changing today and Thug is keeping up with it.
Nov 6, 2015 I got into Thugger the same way I got into Kanye -- ironically at first. If something sounds amazing to me, the writing isn't especially important at that point. I tend to come for the sound and stay for the writing. The more I listen to him I'm stunned by his depth and how HARD certain lines hit me, when I finally get one after hearing a song dozens of times. It's not just depth of writing though, it's the depth of his sound. The whole f---ing AESTHETIC of certain songs hit me at different times and all the sudden a song I always skipped turns into my favorite thing in the world. Great ad-libs can be my favorite thing in the world. I always thought Michael Jackson was the king of incredible ad-libs; right now, I'm pretty sure I prefer Thug's. Of course, any Thug experience is greatly enhanced with a little herb
Nov 6, 2015 It's amazing when you listen to someone like Young Thug and compare him to what ALL rap sounded like even 10 years ago. Artists like Thug are expanding & turning it into a different genre before our eyes.
