    Ill go first:

Stephen King is definitely my favorite author. So many of his characters are so lifelike, and even though some of his endings aren't up to par with the rest of the story, the journey is almost always worth it.

    Favorite Book:

It by Stephen King. I've read this book three times and I'll come back to it again before long I'm sure. It has everything you could want from a novel.

My favorite author is probably Philip K d-ck. I've read more of his work than anybody else. I've loved dystopian fiction since I read The Giver in grade school and his take on it also usually involves religion and drugs. His premises are top notch as well even if his writing is a bit pulpy.

1984 was my favorite book throughout high school, but reading Stoner by John Williams earlier this year changed that. It's a fictional biography with existential themes and lots of suffering, but the glimmers of hope are really bright and make it worthwhile.

I really like Catcher in the Rye, teenage angst and all that. I also like Monster Hunter International. @Skippy recommend them and they're phenomenal. Favorite author has to be either: J.R.R. Tolkien or J.K. Rowling for completely creating different worlds with cultures and histories.

Marquis de Sade and book - The Complete Works.
I loved the style of writing in this, even though I'm sure many authors from the same time would have the same style I dont know if any could match the work. It filled me with mixed emotions and question the limits of myself and others.

Ayn Rand is my favorite author, which is ironic given how liberal I am.

As for my favorite book, it's a toss-up between three. "The Fountainhead", by Rand herself, "The Great Gatsby", and "1984". Reading those three books in 11th grade genuinely changed my outlook and philosophy regarding life. Gun to my head, I would probably say Gatsby is my favorite book, but I think "1984" is the best written of the three.

Charles Bukowsky is probably my favorite. I've never felt compelled to binge read a whole list of books by an author before.

Then I got a couple of favorites.
