A lot of big acts cancelled their shows last night out of respect for the events in Paris (Foo Fighters, U2, Coldplay...) I wonder if that's not the best idea, making everyone stop look at what the terrorists have done. That's kind of their goal in the first place...

The worst s--- about this Paris attacks is that you now have everyone making their twitter/facebook pictures into France flag colors to show "support". But there are terrorist attacks in all of those third world countries every day, hundreds people die every day but we somehow value Paris more than those? This is just used for f---ing self promotion for likes, that's the only reason. If you really wanna help, you go out, donate some money, clothes, food to those in need, you don't post s--- on social media. 85% of us human beings are stupid as f---.

People on Facebook been posting fake photos saying, "like this photo to show respect" or "type amen to show respect". I seen one with a dad and his child, the child had half his head blown off, and the father was over the child crying. Some people in the comments said the photo is photo shopped and had been circling Facebook for a few weeks, but the person who posted it said it was from Paris.


Niggaz be doing anything to get some likes.

Well part of the attack in Paris was at a concert. 87 died and 100 more injured at the concert alone. That has to have something to do with it.

I see what you're saying but I changed it - not for likes, ... i don't even care about that.
cause it's Levels to this s--- - USA relationships

reason being:
our government and economy owes a lot of it's thinking to France,
also the statue of liberty anyone?
probably most important, no body is denying the importance of third world countries but an attack on France is different because the attack was an attack on freedom, sounds cliche but true, it was an attack on our way of thinking.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

What you're saying is correct but that doesn't make it right. It's hypocritical to prioritize the Paris attacks when there are similar levels of terrorism on a weekly basis all over the world but since they're not in western countries, they don't get the type of coverage Paris is getting.

You say the attack in France is different because its an attack on freedom, were the people who died in other countries not equally free or trying to be free? Saying that devalues the lives of people lost in similar attacks. I see the symbolism that you're referring to but saying its "different" is dangerous. Innocent people were killed in both cases. Governments been doing the same through wars

Changing your profile picture is fine. Its good to show support. No one should discount that.

The problem that @JRH909 @Bliss are pointing out is that the media selects what tragedies the public should care about.

There are terrible things happening in other places in the world all the time that do not receive near as much this attention.

Bliss brought up the Lebanon example, but I can even remember the Kenya University shooting in which 147 students died due to Somali militants and I didn't hear a d--- thing about it.

Nobody has a problem with Paris itself because what happened there is terrible, and if you want to support by changing your profile picture go ahead. Thats dope if its a sincere sentiment.

But we as a people must care when it happens in all countries and continents. Not just Europe, or in America. But in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, everywhere.
