Dec 23, 2015 Alright asshat. Yeah I listen to Kendrick but Em is still my favorite rapper, and f--- off with that s---. Douchenozzle.
Dec 23, 2015 LOL .. its a reason why my name is DMX .. I guess I love his style the most .. but gotta admit the top 4 are better than him. As for Eminem .. I like his old and new s--- .. yes he has changed .. but hiscontent always been genius mind blowing kind of s--- that makes me suprised of his awesomness. New Jayz is lyrically whack .. been soft .. and his f---in to Beyonce has transferred her bitchy genes to him and erased his Mc skills.
Dec 23, 2015 Get me a better lyricist rapper who use syllables metaphors and wordplay better than Eminem while playing with flows like a real Mc and I will be his Stan instead of Eminem
Dec 23, 2015 Okay Lost Son .. I respect u for being an Eminem fan ..but I tried to enjoy Kendrick .. didnt get him yet .. good for you enjoying him but hes not better than Em in 2015 in my opinion
Dec 23, 2015 OP had an interesting theory, but due to the fact it was posted in the EminemSXN it became an argument on whether Em is better than Kendrick or not. What a surprise. Em is good, Kendrick is too. They're different. Get over it. I totally agree with you, OP. Although the irony of users arguing over which artists are better in this thread, hopefully people begin to realize this and let others enjoy their own genre or subject matter in music without completely and utterly bashing them.
Dec 23, 2015 I kind of agree with what youre saying. Some people just like music to be simple and, in a way, superficial. Some people are geared less towards the technical lyrical aspects of rap like Kendrick, Eminem and sometimes Cole provide and would prefer a Future or a Thug. I happen to casually listen to the latter, and im more of a hardcore fan of the first 3. HOWEVER While I think the Kendrick TPAB hate is super f---ing bizarre only because of how undeniable the album was, I can see why some people aren't fond of say Eminem or Cole. With Cole, a lot of his material is not as profound as his die hard fans make it out to be and it can be infuriating when he's treated as some poetic artistic saint with an abstract perspective when at best he conveys the conscience of the simple minded masses though his music. I don't find his music profound, but I find it enjoyable personally. As for Eminem, his musicality has taken a hit and he's traded making "songs" for making "tracks". 'Groundhog Day' and 'Vegas' for instance don't feel like songs, they feel like tracks where Eminem is more cyphering than making an artistic piece of music. It feels like a free style in every sense of the word. But what infuriates a lot of people is Eminem is known to be capable of making musical masterpieces with stuff like Stan, Sing For The Moment, Kim, etc. A lot of the vitriol Eminem gets is simply because he doesnt compare to his old self musically. We're talking about music here. Personally I have no problem with Eminems current style because I enjoy lyricism. Not everybody's like that. My problem is when people who clearly do not relate to current Eminem or to Kendrick Lamar (which, again, I find bizarre) in anyway still go out of their way day after day to disparage their work when they could simply immerse themselves in what their own musical taste is. If Kendrick's not for you, it's not for you. No need to get all veagan-y about it and feel inclined to tell everyone how much better Travis Scott is than Kendrick Lamar. We don't care.
Dec 23, 2015 Great comment, my friend. Although I kinda disagree with you on one point. I enjoy some of Em's new stuff more than his old stuff. I don't really care about Vegas but I love Guts over fear for example.
