Dec 24, 2015 Compton forsure production on that was much better than TPAB, even if it did lack the usual dre bangers there was no bad stretches on the album
Dec 25, 2015 First 2 albums had more throwaway tracks IMO. 2001 had higher high points and better production. Compton is a more consistent album than the first 2 it just doesn't quite peak like 2001 but also doesn't have low low points or a single bad verse on it.
Dec 25, 2015 the one that kendrick raps better on--so, Compton EDIT: far be it for any of us to use polls on this website as proof of anything, but i find it interesting that people are picking a good-but-not-great dre album over the record that ~broke boundaries for hip-hop~ in march. thank me later, as usual.
Dec 25, 2015 interesting. i respect that. to me, his first two albums are timeless and although compton is pretty good---it doesn't have that lasting appeal that his first two do. between to p---- and compton, i'd go compton.......but i'm not a big fan of either.
Dec 25, 2015 Respect your opinion to brotha. Honestly the albums are so good you could argue either way!
Dec 25, 2015 TPAB gets the edge for its great message, cultural impact and the fact that Kendrick had a strong narrative for this project. Compton felt more like a soundtrack/compilation but Dre had so much help on it with the special guests and all, but I take nothing away from it it's fantastic work.
