Jan 9, 2016 I don't feel established enough or knowledgeable here to promote my own stuff but I do want to show off my skill. For so long I have been producing for myself and it's starting not to get fun; I have skill yet I prefer to work to shape an artists vision instead of creating beats and putting them on marketplaces which no one will buy. I have a soundcloud but again, not ready to dip my toes yet. I can link you to two instrumentals I did if alot of people request it and both of those are my best work. I know how to give drums that certain hard edge, I know how to make the snares hit and the hi-hats shine, I know how to provide an atmospheric vibe as well as a hard vibe. I'm not asking for any money, I'm doing this for exposure so if any of you want a beat for your album, mixtape, single, something unexpected then come to me; I guarantee results.
Jan 10, 2016 I looked at the waveform and I was like Have you ever heard about dynamic range? s---'s loud af.
Jan 10, 2016 Heard of it; haven't applied the limiter yet (I know, it gets rid of dynamic range but it does even everything out.). It's mixed but not mastered.
Jan 10, 2016 I know what you mean. The benefits of having a wider dynamic range are massive but that pesky 0db limit gets in the way most of the time. I usually try to aim for a -1db limit or less; much like the Big L record "The Big Picture". I'll try to make it quieter in the future.
Jan 10, 2016 I honestly would recommend doing your production with that already on. I do ALL of my mixing and mastering on EVERYTHING as I produce a track. my plugins for both are already loaded and on the second I start working on something and I just adjust as I go, works best that way, imo at least
