Jan 23, 2016 I like it a lot, but I'd lie if I told you it was in my top 5 off tpab. The beat is repetitive and kendrick is a little bit off beat. From a pure technical standpoint, my only complaint about tpab was TBTB
Jan 23, 2016 Nah. It's deffinitely one of his most energetic songs and I love listening to it, specially in the morning but it's not one of his best songs, thats just my opinion though
Jan 23, 2016 It's a good song but like some people said before, I wouldn't put it in my top 5 TPAB songs. The storyline has been done before, but rarely with such such anger. But, for me, there's something missing. In comparison to most of his other songs, it doesn't have a melodic instrumental and Kendrick doesn't rap with a desirable flow, Kendrick's rapping is all about delivery, as opposed to most of the songs on tpab. (except King Kunta but this song is an exception as kendrick is adopting a funk delivery on that song, it's like a typical oldschool Dj Quik song) It's not that this song needed any of these things. It epitomizes an angsty racial atmosphere that it sets out to accomplish. However, it sacrifices Kendrick's flow, a mediocre Popcaan flow, and a melodic sound (until the particularly gorgeous outro). All his album are amazing but to me there's always 1 song weaker than the others, and to me the blacker the berry is that song on tpab.
Jan 23, 2016 But If you like bangers then yeah, I guess it could be one of your favorite kendrick songs.
Jan 23, 2016 One of Kendrick's most aggressive and bold songs out of his discography, that's why it was the most listened to rn.
Jan 23, 2016 The song being a hard track doesn't make it one of his best songs. It's not even one of the best tracks on tpab
