Jan 14, 2016 Honest & DS2 and most of his mixtapes (from streets calling to BM2) and I have no desire to listen to his early stuff
Jan 14, 2016 I meant BM1 Best Mode or whatever it is called... he dropped way too many mixtapes. I don't even know but all his s--- sound the same to me, I can't even make the difference between his projects.
Jan 14, 2016 What project has purple comin in & trap n-----? that was the only tape that wasn't 100% trash to me
Jan 14, 2016 Yeah it's pretty bad when Em stans ignorantly call other artists s---. But from my POV it goes both ways. @YoungDirtyBastard and @Narsh factually claim that their music taste is better because they have actually listened to rappers they don't like. I just want them to know that music taste is completely subjective.
Jan 14, 2016 I think you're moreso looking for a specific style and sound rather than a certain standard of quality. I mean you can't convince me (a huge fan of 808s and Yeezus) that he lost his drive and talent along the way..
Jan 14, 2016 I've never made it through a thug project but I don't hate future, DS2 and What a Time to Be Alive if that counts, I think future can be fun to listen to but not someone who I keep up with.
Jan 14, 2016 Ok so you haven't heard his whole discography lol that was my point. You haven't even heard monster, beast mode and 56 nights which is arguably his best work.
Jan 14, 2016 No, that's why I haven't contributed to making a list ITT but I see where you're coming from
Feb 8, 2016 I think I side with you on the list But even if we're to look at the scholar's score or the people's Champion its obviously Kendrick Lamar . I think it's fair at this point to say that and Eminem is greater than Kany... Kendrick=Eminem , Kanye.....the rest are on point ! Drake's ghost writing allegations should place him afar
Feb 8, 2016 Your list is correct but trust me Scholars and true hiphop fans will rank K.Dot >Eminem >Kanye ......the rest are pretty ok and Drakes ghost writer stuffs will place behind Cole
Feb 8, 2016 can i ask a thugger fan something? do you hear diversity in his music? cause 95% of his music sounds the same to me
Feb 8, 2016 Future and J Cole are wayyyy more samey than Thug. I find diversity in what he does on the track. Maybe you aren't listening the same way as me. Check out the track below and make a mental note of it every time he switches up his flow. My favorite analogy is equating it to how Coltrane used his trumpet. The guy would approach the same basic idea from every angle imaginable.
