Anyway.. when does the 4th quarter start? This makes you appreciate defense a lot.

Yeah I could see how someone could be sick of all the Kobe talk if they aren't a fan of his.

The game was alright but d--- these games are tough to watch with zero defense, it's a little too ridiculous. I could understand not going 100% on D or whatever, but at least play a little bit. It's basically turned into the same thing as guys just standing around in practice trying to make trick plays/incredible plays. This is the only year recently where I watched the whole game, next year I'll probably go back to doing what I mostly do and that's just watching the intros and the first 5 minutes or so, and then the end again if it's close.

I know defense is optional in this but cmon, at least make it competitive. Lebron barely played in the 4th. Hilarious watching Pop double team PG as he's 1 point away from break the record for points.

I tend to just take the All Star Game for what it is but this year was super trash. Dudes was lobbing in down court and the defense just stood next to em under the hoop and watched em score. I get defense ain't the focus of the game but gahdamn it felt more shameless than usual this year.
I laughed but felt bad for PG getting doubled at the end at the same time. Pop got a weird twisted sense of humor lol.

Next year the fans should send a message and only vote for defensive players, maybe we'll see a decent all star game then.

You can't actively play defense in the All Star game. Nobody would risk getting hurt. The All Star game is completely about entertainment and that's fine by me it's very fun to watch. They try hard in the final minutes if it's a close game. This year did feel different though. There was literally 0 defense. No efforts at all.

^They set scoring records the last 2 years and almost got 200 points this year, it's definitely getting worse. There used to be at least very basic defense and then they wouldn't try if someone made a nice move or whatever, now it's just a complete free for all and basically a joke. There were baskets like 2 or 3 seconds apart at times, that's how quick it was going.

I expect them to at least go through the motions. Like you said once somebody made a move it was basically a free lane. I don't want them out there trying to k--- each other to win (maybe a little bit) but you gotta give a better effort than that.

Hard to say. He's going to be a FA this year and is looking for a max deal, so there's a lot of risk involved especially when you factor in his injury problems. I've seen Howard/Whiteside being floated around and there's a rumor he could be moved to ATL, possibly for Horford. I'm passing on him though, not gonna pay a 31 year old center with back problems over 20 million a year unless I'm right on the edge of title contention.

yeah I'm a pelicans fan and I saw rumors of him to the pelicans for Ryan Anderson and I would not like that. The contract he signs this offseason is going to be huge and it's not worth it for a guy who is declining fast with locker room problems
