    Cole world had dope production too.

    Born sinner is his worst produced project (my least favorite produced project) its like he didn't put bass in those beats or something. At the same time, its kind of a good thing, cause it don't sound like none of his other projects. Think he was going for a certain sound on that album, and he succeeded it.

    I love his beats like, rise and shine, gods gift , nobody's perfect, gomd, wet dreamz , s----s bump

    what? putting bass on a beat doesn't make it better lol. Some of the best produced albums are very laidback tbh

    Ye Cole World had good production. The only album where I didn't like the beats was born sinner. I think that's where the boring tag came from

    imo the production is much better on born sinner, but its not as various and the production doesn't always fit the lyrics

    but the beats are amazing

    There used to be a video up on youtube showing all the samples next to their parent songs but its taken down now...

    Anyway the samples were incredibly uncreative for the most part, he didnt change much at all from the original song. That video exemplified it perfectly but go through some of the samples on whosampled:

    I can't even find truly yours 3. I got the CD but they're not on any streaming service I use. All those joints were dope to me and prob should've replaced some joints on the album

    fam i had crazy weekend. saw the pres and cole friday. and last night i ended up inches close to tory lanez. gotta love sxsw. and dreamville next weekend :bigquint:

    I believe there is such a thing as artistic excellence but it doesn't necessarily translate into the accessibility or emotional aspect of music, which I think is what you're talking about. I've heard songs that are trash from an objective perspective but they hit me just the right way to make me love them, and vice versa. There's objectivity from an artistic perspective, but beyond that it's all subjective.
