The album is good but it is slightly underwhelming at the same time. They show that they can rap well and have got skill. The production is decent too but it is still underwhelming on several songs. The thing that this album lacks is substance. They can rap well but they're not really saying anything on this album. Everything is just random and no songs seem to have a clear or direct topic. If the album had concepts that were more focused it would be so much better. Also, I find that too many songs on the album aren't memorable enough. Those are my thoughts anyway.

After a week of listening to this, I think it's great. BetterOffDead is still probably their best project, but in terms of a debut, this is good stuff. I think I've already mentioned it, but Erick shines on this album. His verse on Bounce might be my favorite from the album. The Odyssey was a great way to start the album off. Loved the Juice sample in the chorus and his verse on this was outstanding. Ascension was another one of the hard, banging songs Flatbush tried to make, and although it's good, it's nothing like the bangers they had on BOD. Trade-Off, not just because of the name but a lot of other factors, reminded me a s--- ton of Face-Off, from DRUGS. I can't get the chorus stuck out of my head and the beat is incredible. Love how it builds. This might end up being my favorite track if Bounce falls. This Is It was a rare occasion of Meechy Darko not spitting in a super loud, obnoxious voice and I'm not sure I like it. I get that the context and lyrics of the song kinda called for it, I just wasn't a fan. The verse itself is still good tho. The last song is also a great way to wrap it up, and I f---in loved all the phone calls at the end. "Hey Flatbush Zombies, you guys are fa----s!" or "Hey just lettin yall know there's black people in Idaho that f--- with you" :')

I wasn't a giant fan of this album, but it has grown on me significantly since its release and I could see it being one of my favorite albums this year when I look back on it.
