Cole is very much influenced by college dropout and late registration. It's not that hard to miss.
And i thought it was already established that Cole worships Yeezy. Kanye has just not returned the love for some reason.

That's why I added very. I just can't imagine Cole rapping about college life in a time when Kanye doesn't curtail the gangsta rap era or when late registration and college dropout don't exist. Just can't. Kanye's his biggest influence.

He was Dreamville affiliated. If he still was apart of Dreamville then Omen wouldn't be the worst in rapper in the group :lol6::lmaooo:

I don't see it the 'very much influenced' by. I'm sorry. Cole doesn't have all skits in his music. The sampling isn't the same (well, at least I don't think it is). I give you and everyone else that says the same thing maybe he's somewhat influence by Ye, but all of Cole's peers are to a degree. The whole there's no cole without Ye mess is a bunch a bs to me. Just a way to minimize Cole's artistry.

If he worships anyone, it's Nas and pac, d--- sure not Ye.

Cole used skits on Cole world and born sinner. He's just not very good at integrating them and I'm sure he realized it. And besides they're overrated. There's a reason Kanye stopped using them after LR. And Kanye did bring back sampling in rap so thanks for proving my point there. From the top of my head, I know he's sampled Kanye in villematic, workout, and last call. The last call outro form is the exact same as one in CD, even the name. Also his soulful rapping had a resemblance to early Kanye. There's more examples of his influence from Kanye than Nas or pac. And like I said, I don't really see Cole rapping about college life in a time where Kanye doesn't end prevalence of gangsta rap or CD and LR don't exist. Same with Drake and 808s and heartbreak. It doesn't mean i'm minimizing their artistry, just that I can see where their roots are. Besides, I like Cole more than Kanye too much to do that.

I'm not going to pursue how Cole thinks of Kanye because I thought that was an obvious one.
Edit- I didn't even add how Kanye used dropping out of college, reapplying, and graduating as a metaphor to his position in the rap game in the cd lr graduation trilogy. Just like Cole used basketball as metaphor to his place in rap game on tcu, twu, fnl, and Cole world. The similarities are really hard to miss.

I think there's a difference between influence/Cole pretty much copying him in certain respects and the "gave you the blueprint don't forget" effect. Ye paved the way for Cole and others to to be themselves and not have to fit into a certain stereotype that was popular at the time. That's different to idolising the dude and making every move to aspire to be like him. He obviously respects Ye as a pioneer but words like worship should be carefully used
