I agree with all this but without KD the thunder didn't make the playoffs. The cavs without lebron would be similar so y'all really doubting kd's impact. And if we are talking pure eye test KD has been better this year. Father Time is starting to catch up to lebron. He's lost some quickness, and his defense has gotten severely worse, he's not as efficient as a scorer. this is literally the opposite of KD this year who is doing way better in all those categories. If we want to argue who has been running the NBA for several years up until this year I would say Lebron no question but we can't just putting lebron on a pedestal just because he's lebron and not be honest with ourselves. Hes still having a great season but let's call it like it is.

i was gonna be done but i have to say something about this flawed logic. So without Steph, the Warriors win 50. ok. with him they're projected to win 73. So Steph makes them 20+ games better. Without Lebron the Cavs aint s---. Ok, but they still have 3 max players without Bron (Kyrie, Love, Thompson). They're still better than the Wizards, Bulls, Pacers at least. All teams expected to win over 40 games this year. So without Bron we can pretty safely say the Cavs would win 40, with him they'll be slightly under 60. So in all, equal to or less than Curry's impact on games won. So I don't even see the point of this argument you're using.

@eddie Celtics are a first round exit tho, this s--- can work in the regular season, but come playoff time you don't have that one superstar that's gonna put you on the back when the shots stop falling + no playoff experience. Hope I'm wrong tho, but that's how I'm seeing things from the few games I watched. Great win tho.

Last year when lbj missed 12 games, they went 1-11 with those same "max players"
When steph miss games, the Warriors still win in the west. When lbj miss games, they cavs go 1-11 in the less dominate east

I never even thought about it like this tbh. But you're right for real. I honestly think the impact argument was greater during Miami Era/last year but this year he's not been as great as people claim.

Early cavs teams = early Lebron, not this current Lebron. This current Lebron is not on that level right now. He was playing at historic level. That game at Detroit was something he can't do right now. LeBron's impact career wise can never be denied, but he's not the same player even though he's still greatness.

Lbj numbers are down and he's never been a great 3 point shooter but his numbers are still good. KD, Westbrook, and steph all PER is better than lbj but I THINK he has scaled it back duirng the regular season so that when the playoffs begin , he'll be a beast. The regular season doesn't mean s--- to lbj because he'll be judge by rings not regular season mvps.

now this is a completely different question. so I'll say this, 08-11ish Lebron was GOAT. Better than KD is now. I can honestly say that. But yes, KD is a all time great. In his prime his team will always be great and have a chance to compete for a title.

not really. he missed like 20 shots per game. He played great but his stats were inflated by him holding the ball every possession. Like Westbrook does now.
