I dont mind the mentor thing but I like spiderman as a standalone hero like in the comics (i.e. not being a sidekick) as for the love story between aunt may and tony, definitely not. I may be a big fan of the comics but I do like when they make certain changes. Not when the total character dynamics and relationships are changed though. However, I do see marvel pulling it since they casted an extremely young Aunt May for some reason.
May 22, 2016 If you are a 15 year old boy, you are not going to have an 80 year old senile Aunt. Tony/Aunt May more than likely going to be a thing. All signs point to that happening.
May 22, 2016 I agree that I'd want it to be a Spider-Man standalone. Maybe just have Stark help him in the final fight or something, like how James Franco did in Spider-Man 3.

May 28, 2016 Natalie Portman will be leaving the cast of the MCU starting with Thor 3. Kinda makes sense, as they've made excuses for her absense in the past two Avengers movies. Tessa Thompson (co-star of Creed) is joining the cast and rumored to be Thor's new love interest. Hulk is also confirmed for Thor 3.
