    Not sure what you mean entirely, but the fact that I'm Canadian is a major reason why I'm a Raptors fan - I live on the other side of the country, but we get all 82 games broadcasted locally here, and the media coverage is Raptors-centric.

    LeBron will probably always be my favourite athlete just on the strength of his ability in pretty much every facet of the game, but I would never cheer for the Cavs over the Raps.

    I was never a huge basketball fan. Saw some Magic games when I was younger but it never appealed to me the way football and hockey did. I, of course, knew about all of the greats and had seen some of their s--- like MJ and Kobe and AI and Lebron, but never followed it heavily. But, last year I saw videos and montages of Curry before the 14-15 playoffs and I was blown away. Followed him to the ship and all this year, and it turned me on to watching some other great players like KD, Westbrook, Leonard, Harden, etc.

    For me, I guess I get hating "bandwagon fans" but didn't Lebron bring a ton of new fans to the game when he started playing? I don't ever act like I liked GSW or even basketball before Steph, but he's just so f---ing fun to watch and truly extraordinary, yet likable too, that I can't help but root for him. I'm a fan of greatness and seeing greatness succeed. Though majority of my friends HATE him because of "bandwagons" and really, how good he is, I'll be rooting for him in the finals this year.
