    both. but lyrics more. which sucks because if the music is great but the lyrics have something i disagree with them i wont listen usually cus it pisses me off lol

    I focus more on the music majority of the time, but as YDB said it's not a black and white type of thing. I enjoy both elements in varying doses most of the time.

    I'm all about the lyrics, which is probably why I can't stand the majority of the music that plays on FM radio.

    Rap offers the best platform for writing in music alongside of spoken word and singer-songwriter. Outside of those genres, I actually really prefer instrumental stuff.
