Jul 9, 2016 Funny, haha I'm the complete opposite, I prefer the front half honestly. The only second half tracks that standout are John Muir, str8 ballin, and tookie knows. Not to say I don't enjoy the others however. Glad to see someone else enjoys it as much as me! Ya know I kinda agree. It's one of the weaker joints IMO
Jul 9, 2016 It reminds me of Rocky's Alla in the sense it has a strong consistent atmosphere. Very cohesive project. PAAK has done wonders with the TDE crew.
Jul 9, 2016 This is 8/10 easy. might be 8,5 it's refreshing, simple, melodic and gangsta at the same time it's different than any other rappers this album is less polished than the first but more cohesive and creative TorcH Ride Out WHateva You Want JoHn Muir Tookie Knows Kno Yo Wrong By Any Means very very dope.
Jul 9, 2016 Definetly hand and hand with Malibu as AOTY for me. I can't stop listening to this man...
Jul 9, 2016 Im f---ing with this hard!!! Album slaps, but f--- the label for putting Overtime on this album. Hook is f---ing cringe. Miguel sucks hard. Production doesn't flow with the album at all. f---ing ruined the entire project tbh. How you gonna build up to Tookie Knows II with a song like Overtime?! s--- is absolute GARBAGE!
Jul 9, 2016 i agree with OT. I think the first few seconds had major potential, it definetly could've took an oppsite turn and turned into an upbeat song that would stick out among the rest. Listen to the first 14 seconds of the song and tell me if you see what I mean, and once you get it, picture a Lil Yachty feature on the song, would've been soooo dope.
Jul 9, 2016 Check Q's snapchat. He even agrees groovy Tony/Eddie Kane is his fav track at the moment. That beat and flow are so dirty I can't even handle it
Jul 9, 2016 I'm loving it, but i had to make a few edits, some you guys will probably k--- me, here is my tracklisting: 01. Torch (Ft. Anderson .Paak) 02. Lord Have Mercy (Ft. Swizz Beatz) 03. That Part (Ft. Kanye West) 04. Groovy Tony / Eddie Kane (Ft. Jadakiss, Dem Jointz & Candice Pillay) 05. Ride Out (Ft. Vince Staples) 06. Whateva U Want (Ft. Candice Pillay) 07. Any Means 08. Dope Dealer / Kno Ya Wrong (Ft. Lance Skiiiwalker) 09. John Muir (Ft. Sam Dew) 10. Neva Change (Ft. SZA) 11. Black Thoughts / Blank Face (Ft. Kendrick Lamr & Anderson .Paak) 12. Overtime (Ft. Miguel, Justin Skye & Kendrick Lamar) 13. Str8 Ballin / Tookie Knows II (Ft. Jesse Rankins) Edits: I cut the first half of Kno Ya Wrong, i just don't like it, but i love the second half, so now it's at the end of Dope Dealer - it transitions like it was suppose to be there, i also removed E-40, he's my dude, but not on this song. I love both Black Thoughts & Blank face, but its like Kanye's Father Stretch My Hand 1 & 2, they work better mixed together, & after listening to the tracks all day, i feel they compliment each other brilliantly. I move Str8 Ballin to the end of the album as i found it works great as a closer, i didn't like the features on Tookie Knows II but loved the track other than that, so i did the same thing i did with Dope Dealer/Kno Ya Wrong & made sure it blends with the song. I removed Big Body - i love Q, Tyler & The Dogg Pound, but f--- this track, it sounds so empty. Also, I'm waiting for an itunes release of the Black Hippy Remix of That Part so i can mix it with the album version. If anyone wants to hear it, let me know.
