Is 'Rap' relevant?

    Ok thank you, the only difference I see is battle rap due to that not being music.
    No they call them 'Hip Hop Artists'

    Battle rap still qualifies as music. It's all rap. It's all hip hop.

    I never said they weren't interchangeable negrodamus?? They're the same and most call themselves rappers, not hip hop artists. Your question was "is rap relevant" When more people use the term "rapper" than "hip hop artist" I'd say so
