I mean if the homeless, being broke is better look is the way Cole is promoting himself then so be it. As stans we know he practises what he preaches but if it gives him that identity across the mainstream then that's probably good for him in the long run because he's just being himself and become v successful doing it.

IMO I think it would be more powerful if hes trying to portray himself as a normal dude with a bit of money where it hasn't changed him rather than go the complete opposite. I think it's a powerful message especially in america so say that wealth isn't everything but you need to moderate it a bit

But having said that he's not actually promoting himself like that as he's not on social media posting pics of him riding the subway, we just go digging lol

I kind of agree with Buckets on this, you can still be the same person, humble, sincere, not materialistic and try to live a normal life, even if you do have a nice watch or a car and dress nice. A few years back Cole was dressing up in Versace, had a Range, had a fresh cut and was wearing expensive watches but he was still the same person he is now, like he wasnt an arrogant a------ back then just because he had money. Selling your car and looking homeless doesn't make you more humble.

Ofc Cole aint really retiring, he loves making music and performing them too much. Besides his wife, family and friends his love is hiphop lol.. Just a line too create some buzz and it fit's the vibe of the song too good. It's just a powerful line too end the verse.

Which is still his biggest L to date. You can tell by this picture and the interviews he was doing this day that he was lost in the sauce. I think yall forget that this was the same guy that was wearing cargo pants and a t shirt before the born sinner era. Always been a simple dude that dresses nice when he wants to. But he figured out he doesn't NEED to dress like this, or have a rover to flex when people can drive him around anyway or wear all these chains and watches cause it didn't add value to his life. You don't have to live a certain way being rich and he can't control people calling him more humble just because he's living his life the way he wants to.
