Black Lives Matter essentially rose to power after the shooting of Michael Brown, which was completely justified and cleared by Obama's Department of Justice...so the entire movement is based on some straight up bs that wasn't even true...

Like I said before sorta, it spills over. Australia has a fairly minor tourism problem atm, because lots of countries (particularly america) think we are racist.

This is the country where if you go into rural areas that are less developed and more remote, you'll find aborigines casually referring to white people as "whitey" while white people will casually refer to the same aboriginals as "blacky" or "darky". It's just a cultural thing. We have a brand of cheese called "COON" for f---s sake. because Australia doesn't have some racist/enslavement/segregation history (that was made public and wasn't swept under the rug, like the stolen generation of Australia) and when Aussies are in their homeland behaving as they normally do and a tourist american comes in, with their "i have to point out everything racist!" attitude, it causes a s--- fest.

Because they are an activist/political movement that's grabbed the attention/support of one of the two major parties in our country. That goes away if they start mass killing white people or whatever ridiculous action you think they're going to take.

Yes. I don't think those people encounter police any where near as often a poor African-Americans. They are also less likely to get arrested for drug offenses despite white people being more likely to use an illegal substance.

So what exactly are you arguing here? That reparations are okay as long as their under a certain time frame? lol "sorry guys... our government didn't pay you reparations 100 years ago -- before you even had the right to vote. It's to late now...oh well." The U.S. also had paid reparations to Native-Americans for taking their land. That goes back further than slavery yet it was still done.

Let me get this straight.. You think people in African-American communities sell drugs to get ahead? Ahead of who? These people live day-by-day. Struggle every week to provide for their families. Many of them break the law because it's the easiest source of income. A minimum wage job isn't going to pay all the bills and feed the family. School is a long process and takes a lot of money if you want higher education. Where else are they suppose to turn? Also, you have the entire reasoning wrong. Locking up all these people isn't pushing them away from selling drugs. It's not reducing the amount of drugs being sold on the street. it's a failed experiment that's wasting our tax payer money. They aren't saying to decriminalize drugs simply because everyone is doing it. They are saying it because it's disproportionately effecting their race and it's not doing any good.

The United States owns more than enough land for companies and the government to relocate their waste to proper dump site. Suggesting that if you live in low cost housing you should have to deal with toxic waste is another privileged point of view.

Alright but com'on this is kind of an irrational fear. I really don't think the guy who sells coke on the corner is going to go out of his way to go to some board meeting so he can vote on who's the next police chief. And even if he did, what corruption would stem from that?

Well I said civil disobedience. Riots are not civil disobedience. I'm talking about the people who block freeways and get arrested. Who go to marches and get arrested. People that are rioting/destroying property deserve to be arrested.

It's easier said than done for a lot of kids. Whether it be they live in a bad neighborhood that doesn't have a lot of public resources or they have to go home and cook/take care of siblings etc. internet access at home really is a necessity for students of all ages in 2016.
