Encore was the last time Eminem sounded like Eminem

Encore has more personality and smoother flows than relapse or recovery

And there are hidden rhymes in a lot of the songs that I still find to this day. That and the rhyme patterns themselves are pretty unique

Content is the biggest issue but I don't think the lack of it offsets the good parts of this album. This is only "bad" compared to his other albums before it. I feel like at this point Eminem knew he was out of stuff to rap about , was bored of fame, & abusing pills and still put out something worth listening to.

No I'm not trolling and this post probably won't lead to any kind of worthwhile discussion

agreed. its still an Em that was natural on the mic, there was still some prime Em left in him. Def shows on the stronger tracks tho its even apparent on the weak colossally terrible tracks, makes for an interesting look at his falloff. The album is still f---in bad, but rly cant say its his worst.

s----s leagues better than Recovery & MMLP2

(id say this is for the same reasons op stated. encore had more personality)

the highs are way above Recovery but the lows make it worse that Recovery for me

id put Encore above Relapse both had great moments but majority of the album was lazy and cringey

and 3 years later I still don't know how I feel about MMLP2

Well, I still enjoy this album. If I had to rank it with his solo albums I would put it second to last to MMLP2.
