Aug 25, 2016 I feel it did. The songs that leaked prior were decent songs. They weren't great or anywhere near the standard of The Eminem Show but they were at least listenable tracks. Obviously this lead to more songs being rushed to meet the deadline, not to mention how much more drugs he would have taken in that time period between the leaks and the album being handed in to the label. I think we would have gotten a better album if the leaks didn't occur.

Aug 26, 2016 It's an interesting process. I'd say the leeks definitely hurt the quality of Encore. If We As Americans and Love You More were post of the main body of work and the direction he was going in then it should've been amazing. Instead we got a rushed piece of s---. Then the hate happened because we got s---. So I'd say his demise came from the fans hate, which came from him having to rush Encore, which came from the leeks.

Aug 26, 2016 Nah believe it or not there were signs even pre 2003 that he was declining. I obviously think some of 8 Mile is his best work but..... My noodle is cockadoodle. There were a few glimpses in late 02 and 2003.
