Aug 25, 2016 The homophobic rhetoric makes Bishop sound dated at times, but he tends to come off as pretty liberal to me. He references gays as among the minorities he feels are mistreated in "Un-American", and insults paedophile priests for denouncing gay people in "The Heretic".
Aug 25, 2016 yeah I assume overall his views aren't legitimately that bad, but honestly there are a few occassions where a certain bar or two from a song sticks out and i just think "oh, that's why you were shelved..."
Aug 26, 2016 Pisses me off to this day that see doesn't give a f--- about rap. He literally could have ran hip hop for ever. He could of had a label 10xs greater than deathrow. And he just made everyone sit on the shelf.
Sep 6, 2016 When I filed this folder on my computer a came across another folder called "Bishop Lamont - The Reformation" but it was from YEARS ago. I assume this was an unofficial release but the cover is very similar in style. A mix between church and Wild West. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Sep 7, 2016 Dope album. I added back up off me to it plus that mark batson song. Only complaints is the religious bs vibe a few tracks have. Like the faith track, the devil track, etc
Sep 7, 2016 Bishop has moments of great lyricism but he wastes so much of his talent on rapping about how wack rappers are instead of offering poignant stories or reflections on his own life / others. He has far too few Grow Ups and Can't Figure It Out which is easily where he shined. Whatever happened to the snippet of that dj quik song?
Sep 7, 2016 ^ I've always found the balance pretty good tbh. More personal stuff is always appreciated, but I enjoy him going at rappers too. The album covers a fair few topics. Out of 18 songs, less than 1/3 are spent taking shots and trolling. There's a lot of content in there. I haven't seen anything anywhere. I'm curious as well. A fan put together an OG Reformation a while back. A few unreleased tracks, singles and mixtape cuts in good quality complete with a cover he made. I believe this is what you are refering to. Pretty well put together.
