Sep 29, 2016 When was the last time Maroon 5 had a good album? 2007? I don't care how good looking Adam Levine is, their bubblegum pop is baddddd
Sep 29, 2016 Kendrick is like the most critically acclaimed artist of our generation and seems to be loved by most legends, I don't think he cares about Drake's success. Not even sure why you're mentioning his name
Sep 29, 2016 And the fact Kendrick would stoop down to that level of lameness is an automatic L for him.
Sep 29, 2016 yeah, one could wonder why someone as talented as kednrick would workj with them, but its just a feature.
Sep 29, 2016 I feel like this year for Kendrick has been what was for Eminem in 2003. Decent, but nowhere near as good as 2011-2015. Every feature save for The "THat Part Remix" and the excellent Isaiah Rashed feature has felt really phoned in, like he's bored with conventional features.
Sep 29, 2016 Kendrick has done everything but become a radio hit Drake is the only competition worth mentioning And as a fan it's sad to see Kendrick go about it this way
Sep 29, 2016 If we got a Maroon 5 song like "Songs Before Jane" or "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" (Yes, i'm a fan of the older Maroon 5), with the more funk/Prince driven sound rather then the Hot 100/EDM sound Maroon 5 has been doing since 2011, I would give a W to both parties.
Sep 29, 2016 I'm always hyped for new kendrick but not when I see the name of the band he's working with lol. Ight, he seems to always do that s--- between 2 albums
Sep 29, 2016 I think he did great on most of these features, except on the Sia song. And what's wrong has to be my favorite kendrick feature of all time tbh
Sep 29, 2016 I don't mind kendrick collaborating with these pop artists as long as he never compromise his solo stuff
Sep 29, 2016 Woah woah hold up homie, Drake is basically a pop star now. He's adored by the same girls that ConspiracyTheory in the Eminem SXN always tries to point to for evidence of "the best stuff". Drake has basically become bigger then a human, with his sweatshop of ghostwriters and streaks of success. Kendrick is still a rapper at heart. Has he been mediocre this year for 80% of it? Yes. But Kendrick not even bothered by Drake's success. He's got his own lane, and I bet he's just having an off year like Future. Most people bring up J. Cole in the conversation with Kendrick before Drake , because he's more similar musically to Kendrick then Drake. [INSERT SLEEPING JOKE]. Kendrick doing features with Sia/Maroon 5/Taylor Swift is just natural evolution. Every rapper, even the most serious one's have done it. Kanye with Katy Perry, B.o.B with Taylor Swift, Ludacris and Raekwan with the old Justin Bieber back in 2010. Every rapper does it, unless your a Hopsin/Immortal Technique who goes "BAAA HUMBUG" to the potential check and constantly hates on the mainstream.
