Yup it's over tbh. When s--- hits the fan i'm no longer a fan.

heavily advertised as Dre's new prodigy (lol) when he signs to Aftermath and what do we get? Awesome songs produced by Dre? an album produced by Dre? a Single produced by Dre? A feature from other Aftermath affiliates? Something that sounds remotely as upbeat and fun as GKMC?
nope, a lesson in jazz history instead

Kendrick proved with tpab that he can make some of the best music ever, I just can't doubt him.

How did you expect Dre to produce a song for Kendrick when he barely even produced any of the songs for his own retirement album?

Kendrick already working with the best musicians and producers, he didn't need Dre :dead:

edit: well, maybe he needed dre for gkmc, cuz some of these beats have a lot of flaws but then again, Dre hasn't produced a flawless beat in years

lol true. wasn't being super serious, but more seriously; kendrick working with any of Aftermath's producer line up (focuz, Dawaun PArker, Dj Khalil.) would of been awesome, but nahhhhhhhh

well, Kendrick said quik was just as good as Dre, and quik said tpab was probably the greatest musical achievement of the wet coast. Kendrick really doesn't need Dre, Quik is all he needs, should have been his mentor

true, but I'm kinda happy kendrick decided to ignore the aftermath producers. Like we said, he has the absolute best musicians and producers in his circle...working with dre and aftermath would have pushed Kendrick in the wrong direction

I didn't say boring, I said they had a lot of flaws. I actually enjoy these beats a lot, but there's only 3-4 really really good beats in terms of quality.

yeah ok i'll give you that. but 3-4 are "really really" good beats sounds kind of nitpicking. like what are the other beats? just "really" good? lol

I don't see him dropping a bad album as long as he stays away from Dre.

In some ways yea. Everyone overanalyzes everything Kendrick does just like Eminem.

But Kendrick still going strong for the most part. Eminem is a shell of his old self. I know a bunch of people hated TPAB cuz they hate jazz/thought it was pretentious/little trap etc.

But Kendrick really isnt having a decline. A lot of people just hate on him cuz he gets alot of exposure and they dont think he deserves it.

Selecting people to work with is something I'll definitely always praise Kendrick for. Dude really doesn't care if you're underground or not.

everybody would want his favorite artist to work with prime Dr Dre, but he's 51 now and he is definitely not as diverse as he used to be. You can tell the other aftermath artists have realized this as well, they know they can get better s--- from other producers.
