Nov 8, 2016 tbh I find this thread to be very direspectful. I'm fine with you if you like b6 or dsp more but saying they're better than tpab?
Nov 8, 2016 Meh, Tpab is almost perfect, can't say the same for the 2 other records and I'm one of those rare cats who actually like Big Sean
Nov 8, 2016 Poor bait attempt. You should rename the thread to: "I enjoy barter 6 and dark trash paradise more than Tpab" cuz Tpab is objectively speaking the better album in pretty much every musical aspect.
Nov 8, 2016 so many ppl say that TPAB is a masterpiece but somehow, someway, mysteriously, they dont want to listen to it. wake up sheeple
Nov 8, 2016 I disagree, I absolutely love the Tpab and play it more than B6/DSP which I thought were solid albums.
Nov 8, 2016 f--- Outta here with this offensive s---. The only thing tpab has against it is that it doesn't have a mainstream sound. I feel like you have to have a certain appreciation of all different types of music,& sounds to fully understand how great it's put together. Other than that, Tpab is pretty much what you should expect from a near flawless jazz/funk influenced rap album and like dj quik said, it probably features some of the best black music in decades.
Nov 8, 2016 No they're not better, they're not even playing in the same league but you're free to enjoy whathever you want.
Nov 8, 2016 its like kendrick fans just waited for this thread to be made n----s posting one after another
Nov 8, 2016 This. You would have a hard time to convince someone who knows music that tpab isn't the better album lol.
Nov 8, 2016 Lmao at considering DSP an album that has so many cringe lines better than TPAB Barter 6 is way closer than the hear for you album...if B6 was tighter conceptually then it would be just as good
Nov 8, 2016 I disagree and it's coming from a Young Thug fan. With that being said, I have to admit I got a very hard time getting into tpab. I feel like Kendrick is to hip hop what Radiohead is to alternative imo. I think it's fair to say what Kendrick has done with rap on TPAB is Radioheadesque in it's boldness, confidence, and beauty. Kendrick doesn't always write songs to be "easy" on listeners. He definitely takes the impressionist approach that Radiohead frequently does where it may take a few listens and a few steps back to get the full picture. He's a poet with impeccable taste.
