Nov 21, 2016 Always found him boring and dull he executed his message in such a boring way to me. I didn't connect with his message because of the dull execution. For example he rapped a lot about poverty and living in the inner city. I myself come from a poor back round a and was raised in an inner city area but Pac's music about this never inspired me or motivated me or touched me. I couldn't listen to a song with out getting bored And he just rapped he couldn't sing, 95% of the hooks on his songs were done by a featured singer or vocalist, he couldn't produce, he couldn't play an instrument. He was a straight up traditional conscious rapper like Common, Talib Kweli, Nas and Ice Cube. I'm not a fan of rap that type of rap. For me the concept of just hearing rappers 'rap' is not appealing at all It's just based on taste nothing more. I like Pop music the emotion, the message has to be a Pop type song that is what it's all about to me fam execution
Nov 21, 2016 2pac attempting to harmonize sounds beyond terrible He sounds worst than Ja Rule, Andre 3000, Lupe Fiasco at attempting to harmonize. That's not subjective me saying his music is boring is subjective as many don't agree with this. But that harmonizing being beyond terrible is objective as anybody with ears can objectively hear awful harmonizing And I will give an example if 2pac was even half decent at it and confident in harmonizing why did he feature singers to do the hook on 95% of his songs? why did he feature singers to feature and do the hook on his songs more than any other rapper in history while he just rapped verses on 95% of his songs? When Eminem, B.o.B, 50 Cent, Kid Cudi, Z-Ro, Max B, Wiz Khalifa sing they actually sound really good at it that is the key factor actually sounding and being good at it
Nov 22, 2016 Both great songs I've never heard, thanks! also I swear I've heard other rappers sample that first Tupac song dopefien, or mimic it. Any one know what I'm talking about? Maybe even eminem did that flow once, wish I could remember.
Nov 22, 2016 When I was tripping on acid once a few years back, my homie started listening to Tupac during the trip. And he also had a 2pac poster in his room. To be super clear, I had a intimate moment with pac that night.
Nov 22, 2016 I didn't like that song at all, OP but eminem could possibly make it sound a little better. I think em could do that with a lot of songs. Just think of any Taylor swift song, but instead of her it's eminem, same thing
Nov 22, 2016 U very well entitled to that opinion brudda but the reality is most mainstream fans of the genre listen to it for the exact same reasons as I do
Nov 22, 2016 I admitted it didn't touch me because I found his music dull, boring and bland and because he didn't make the type of rap I enjoy So u saying his music didn't touch me is stating the obvious A big part of the reason Eminem is my fave artist is because his emotional songs touch me, inspired me, motivate me. His emotional songs are really catchy Both had their lanes to very different fan bases. 2pac's fan base is male hip-hop heads that like hardcore rap. Basically male rap fans Eminem's fan base is teenage girls, middle aged women and suburban males. Basically Pop fans Teenage girls and middle aged women are drawn to songs like Mockingbird because of the hook and it being a catchy pop song with a message Male hip hop heads are drawn to songs like Changes a straight up rap song with a message
Nov 22, 2016 Same bro u remind me of a poster I knew from another board we never saw eye to eye on music as far as taste but I respected him
